  • I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience with Wanton Poppies. From the first phone call, Barb and Skye understood my vision perfectly. I had received about 5 proposals prior to speaking with them, and I was blown away by how quickly they knew just what I was looking for. They were helpful and responsive throughout the entire planning process and made any necessary changes right away. While I knew they were amazing, nothing could have prepared me for how perfectly they would capture everything on the day of the wedding. The ceremony wall was EXACTLY how I pictured, the bouquets were stunning, and the table arrangements were perfect. Every detail was incredible - they even brought the most perfect details to the hotel for our photographer to use and when my bouquet had a few loose flowers before the ceremony due to the wind they fixed it immediately. I can't recommend Wanton Poppies more!!! Thank you to Barb and Skye for creating the wedding reception of my dreams!!!

  • I 100% recommend working with Wanton Poppies for your event florals - you won’t be disappointed! From the beginning of working with them on our fall wedding, Barb and Skye were super friendly and easy to work with. After our initial conversation they produced a proposal with mood boards that nailed our ethereal, romantic yet modern vision, played up the best aspects of our venue, and fit our budget. They also came through in a pinch - when our caterer surprised us a few days before our wedding to say we had to select all new dinnerware and linens (they had failed to put in our original rental order on time), I emailed Barb to ask which available colors/styles she thought would look best with the florals and candles they’d be using on our tables, because I was struggling to make a quick decision. She responded promptly with her suggestions (and some empathy, which does not go unnoticed in a stressful moment like that!) and everything came out looking perfect and beautiful on our wedding day. The ceremony florals and tablescapes were stunning, and they also had ideas for little details like installations at the foot of the statement staircase in our venue that added a beautiful touch. Our guests were blown away. And it was all done for a good price compared to many florists in the DC market. Honestly, my only regret is not splurging on more florals so they could have worked even more magic with the space!

  • Skye and Barb took my jumble of Pinterest ideas and turned them into a beautiful, flawless scape. They were so responsive and easy to work with and provided a lot of items themselves (vases, candles, etc...) making it so easy to work with just one vendor on floral and decor. My vision was all over the place but they incorporated everything I wanted into one magical, cohesive space.
